30 weeks

And counting! We went back to the doctor on Thursday for our 30-week appointment. Everything was fine/normal. We stopped at the Women's Center and checked out a DVD: "How to Care for Your Newborn." I'm thinking we're gonna need all the help we can get in this department... In the meantime, we're getting excited!! She's almost here! (Oh, and does this scarf make me look pregnant? Tee hee...)

The wind in their hair

Matt and I aren't the only ones excited to have our boat back in the water...

Here we are at 29 weeks. It's hard to believe we're almost three-quarters of the way there. Whew! All is going well. Nothing too new to report. We go to the doctor every two weeks from now until Labor Day, then weekly until her arrival. The weeks are flying by! She'll be here before we know it. Are we ready??? Getting there!

We have been practicing our diapering skills... Oscar volunteered to be our guinea pig. He's such a good sport...

Lola's first close-up

This is Lola! It's a bit of an optical illusion... you might have to look for a couple of seconds, but this is a close-up of her face! You can see her forehead, eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks, chin... and I think maybe a hand under her chin. We decided she already has a round face with chubby cheeks... and Matt hopes she doesn't have his nose... :)

We had an ultrasound on Friday, and she weighs 2 pounds, 13 ounces. Big girl already! Everything else was fine. We start going every two weeks now until Labor Day, then weekly until her arrival. Eeeeee!

The Three M's

Matt with his niece and nephew, Madison and Maddox. They came down on the 4th to see the fireworks at Pontiac... along with Matt's mom, Cathy, Chris and Lindsey. They're so festive in their red, white and blue!

Hello, third trimester!

If I look a little tired here, it's because this was taken the day after the 4th! (And, I'm 28 weeks pregnant.) Yep, we are officially in the third trimester. Less than three months to go now. Time is flying by, as I knew it would. :) Lola should be about 2 1/2 pounds by now, and 15-16 inches long. (The size of a Chinese cabbage, according to one source. What in the world is that??) We're headed to the doctor tomorrow for an ultrasound and the dreaded glucola test - a test they do for gestational diabetes. Hopefully we'll get a good picture of her! (And I pass the test!)

Birthday Boy!

Happy third birthday, Oscar! Yes, he was born 07/07/07. He's a freak of nature. (In more ways than one...)
