A few more Easter pics...
We don't usually wear this much pink, but it was Easter, and "Aunt" Megan got this dress for Lola many months before she was born. It has little pink flamingos across the top. At the time I remember thinking it was HUGE, but now here she is wearing it. It's frilly and pretty and GIRLY, and it seemed appropriate for Easter. Also, the Easter basket is one of mine, and so are the plastic eggs! As you can tell from the photos she was most intrigued by the grass (figures). The last picture is of Lola sitting in the high chair that was once used by me and her Uncle Caldwell, and even Grandpa Tim! Yes, it's THAT old. She loves the duck. She likes to turn around and touch it.

Key West in 24 hours
How many things/places can you do/go in 24 hours in Key West? Several...
1. B.O.'s Fish Wagon for fish sandwiches
2. Margaritaville Cafe/Store (for a margarita, of course)
3. Capt. Tony's
4. Hog's Breath
5. Cypress House happy hour
6. Mallory Square sunset celebration
7. Sloppy Joe's - to hear a great live band (the best Matt has EVER seen in his life)
8. Angelina's Pizza stand (you gotta have a slice of pizza at the end of the night)
9. Pepe's for breakfast
10. Shopping along the historic harbor walk (sadly, we only caught a glimpse of Michael McCloud on stage at Schooner Wharf as he was setting up the morning we were leaving town... the only day he doesn't play is Monday, and that's the day we went to KW - boo!)
And that's not all... we hit up some other shops along the way, too... Key West Aloe store, a tea and spice store, a couple of clothing/jewelry/home stores... Whew! We got around.

We're baaaaack!
In case you didn't know, we just spent a week in Islamorada. The sun was warm, the air was salty, and the fish was fresh! Lola experienced all sorts of new things. AND, she wore us out. :) We're home now. She's sound asleep in her own bed - and we're not far behind her. Here are a few pics until I have time to download them all.
From top to bottom: Lola on her first plane ride - she did great!; Lola at Whale Harbor (watching the charter boats come in); Lola in the pool; Lola's chunky legs in the pool; Lola on the beach at Lazy Days (one of our favorite restaurants) for cousin Patrick's 40th birthday dinner - happy belated b-day, Megan and Patrick (April 18-19)!

Nice Catch
Matt woke up at 4:40 yesterday morning and couldn't go back to sleep. So, he got up and went fishing. He had quite the morning - one of the best ever that he can remember, he says. He caught a limit of bass: two largemouth that were 5 lbs, 6 oz (see picture), one that was 5 lbs, and one that was almost 4 lbs, and two smaller ones. (He released the big ones after the photo was taken.) Plus, he had a keeper walleye. AND, he was at work by 7:45. Amazing what you can get done when you get up early.

Little Miss Magic
Just like the song says, Lola is "constantly amazed by the blades of the fan on the ceiling." You can't see it in this picture, but we were sitting in our gazebo, under the fan, and Lola kept watching the blades turning slowly in the breeze. I have heard and sung the song "Little Miss Magic" by Jimmy Buffett a thousand times, and that line never meant much to me until recently. We just turned our ceiling fans on in the house a few weeks ago when the weather warmed up, and Lola was instantly mesmerized. Amazing!

7 months!

We recently had some family photos taken. This is a sneak peek. As soon as I get the CD I'll post an album with all of them. I have so many pictures to share and so little time to upload them. Sigh. Lola is 7 months now - she's officially closer to 1 year than she is to a newborn. How can this be??? Tick tock, tick tock. Time is flying by! She's been eating plums this week - they're pretty sour, but she loves them! She has such a personality - we laugh at her every day!
