Hey, come away to Belize with me!

Sorry I've been absent for going on two weeks now, but we just returned from a week in Belize! Lots of stories and pictures to come from there. Lola stayed with GiGi (Lola's version of "granny") and Pop, and now we're ALL staying there until the kitchen is finished (yep, we started our kitchen remodel the day after we got home). Oh boy! We're also preparing for the St. Louis boat show next week, where we'll have a booth for Pontiac Cove Marina and Resort. OH! And we hit a deer on the way home from the airport and shattered the whole front passenger side of my car, so I am without a car this week. A nice little reminder that vacation was over and we were back in Missouri.

So, life is crazy, but it's good. Stay tuned for more!

Lola vs. The Mirror, Part 2

I actually shot two videos that day when Lola was having fun with herself in the mirror. I decided this one is equally funny enough to share. Here she seems to be having a conversation with herself (in "Lola language"), and then pretending to be a rapper of some sort (notice the pants down below the diaper).

We're in the process of completing some home remodel projects. This week we had hardwood floors put in our living room, which meant all of our living room furniture was displaced for a couple of days. Lola found this mirror in our bedroom floor. (Look at all the fingerprints. Eeeeeeee!) As you can see, she finds herself quite entertaining. Enjoy.

We took Lola to The Cutting Edge "2" for her first official haircut. Kelly and Kristy own The Cutting Edge in Springfield, and she does my hair. She also has this retro salon at their Pontiac house - aka The Cutting Edge "2". It's pretty sweet. That's the Laurie family in the mirror. :)

"Aunt" Meg got Lola this little apron before she was born. When Lola got her kitchen for Christmas we finally got it out. She loves wearing it!
Perhaps we should have named her Julia...

She has also become quite the little helper and enjoys dusting.

I could get used to this...

Cheers to 2012 from the Wade house! We spent NYE with the Blackburn family. We met in the park in the afternoon, and the guys switched babies for a minute... :)

Auntie Jess brought festive headbands for the girls, but we had a hard time getting them both to wear them long enough for a picture. This is the best I got:

Lola got her first official haircut on New Year's Day. I have trimmed her bangs a couple of times, but that's it. So, we went over to the Laurie house and let a professional (Kristy) do the trimming this time. I have been trying to upload pics of this all evening, and my computer is so sloooooow! So, stay tuned for more pics and updates on what our 16-month-old (!!) is up to these days.
