Rockin' Out
How is it possible that I only just now discovered 80s on 8 on XM? I guess the answer to that is... we've never had XM until we got our Chevy Traverse. It came with a free 3-month trial of XM. And now I'm hooked. I know we don't need to be taking on any added expenses or monthly "subscriptions" right now, but, I'm already trying to figure out how to keep it in the car, get it on the boat, and at home... and at the dock. Dang free trial.
The Bump
Tuesday Tidbits
Just a quick update on what we've been up to...
We finished the nursery walls on Sunday. Caldwell and Kate were here to help. Cal and Matt hung a chair rail and new blinds, and we put the freshly painted baseboards back on. It's done, and I love it! (I will post pics soon.) Now it's a beautiful, empty room. Time to start shopping. :)
We are gearing up for a busy weekend at the dock. The weather looks like it's going to be great for Memorial weekend, so I expect it'll be a busy one. We have lots of projects going on around the dock to get ready for it.
I'm looking forward to next week - we're headed to St. Louis on Wednesday for some baby shopping and a Cardinals game with Hannah and Bobby. Can't wait to see them!
I haven't been very good about taking pictures lately, but, I'll try to get on that and post some new ones soon. Have a good day, everyone!

Tickled Pink
Well, if you haven't already heard... we are officially having a GIRL! We had our second ultrasound on Friday to confirm. We're also at the halfway point this week - 20 weeks. Yikes! Time is really starting to fly by. We're hoping to finish painting the nursery this weekend. Then, after that, we'll (hopefully) be ready to pick out a crib and changing table. Once it starts to look like something in there I'll post some pictures.
While we were in Springfield on Friday we did a little price comparing on diapers. DIAPERS! Ohmygoodness. I can't believe we're shopping for diapers. It seems that Sam's is definitely the place to buy them... but, we didn't buy any yet.
Speaking of shopping... I know everyone expected me to go crazy shopping after finding out for sure that it's a girl, but I didn't! You have to remember, while I do love to shop, I also excel at procrastination. ("We have pleeeeenty of time to shop. Hahaha...") We did buy a couple of things, though. Matt picked out a Mizzou piggy bank (to start saving for her college... hey, every penny counts), and we bought her a book and a headband from Jelly Beans. What a cute store! A little bit pricey, though. I picked up a darling dress, and it was 69 dollars. Wowza. For a baby! It was fun to look anyway.
More soon!

My daily special: leftover lasagna
I have become a "fan" on facebook of a few restaurants that I like, so now I get to see their daily specials. This is not such a good thing for a pregnant woman, who already thinks about food nonstop...
Here's one:
Tea Bar & Bites Bakery and Cafe (Springfield, Mo.)
Tuesday's Specials ~ Tomato Basil Soup, Three Cheese & Herb Quiche, Spinach Artichoke Quiche, Caprese on Focaccia, Turkey Reuben, Pesto Penne Pasta, Coconut Creme Cupcakes, Vanilla Strawberry Cupcakes, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes, Lemon Glazed Scones, and Cookies of course!...Bon Apetit!
Um, yes, I'll take one of each, please! (Or, I guess I'll just eat my leftover lasagna instead.)

Projects
It has been a very productive weekend at the Wade household. We're just sitting down for the first time in two days! (Well, not literally, but you know...) Yesterday Matt started painting the trim, baseboards and closet doors in the nursery. They were just plain wood, and he painted them all white. It looks FANTASTIC. We also have new white wooden blinds to hang on the window. We're now debating what color to paint the walls... we're going to wait until after Friday when we find out FOR SURE girl/boy to decide. I will post pics soon. While Matt was painting I did some major spring cleaning, laundry and organizing (junk drawer, pantry, spare bedroom, etc.) And, I planted a few things in the garden! Better boy tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, purple, green and red bell peppers, hungarian wax peppers and jalapenos. More of that to come... Finally, we have several flower pots that are starting to look a little rough, so, I decided to try spray painting them to give them a face lift. It was inexpensive, and they turned out pretty cool, I think!
