Food for Thought
Everyone has been asking if I'm craving anything. I don't think I'm actually craving it, but I have been eating a lot of citrus... grapefruits, oranges and clementines (cuties). I've also been drinking more milk. I have never been a milk drinker... ever. And, I still don't really like to drink milk by itself, but, I've been eating a lot more cereal and milk. My biggest problem is that I'm constantly hungry and never satisfied! I love, love, love sandwiches. Especially hot sandwiches. A new sandwich shop opened in Gainesville, and we picked up a couple to go earlier this week. They have hot and cold sandwiches. I had a hot turkey, ham and cheese with lettuce and tomato... very simple, but delish. I've also been digging spicy food. I like spicy food, in general, so this isn't anything new, but it just seems extra good lately. Oh, and peanut butter. Again, nothing new. Always loved peanut butter. But, it just seems really, really good now. Any aversions? Not really. Hmm... it just seems that FOOD, in general, is reeeeaaaaally good. Yikes.
Wednesday
I know I haven't been very good about updating this thing lately... Not too much to report this week. The weather is gorgeous! I hope it's here to stay. Activity is picking up around the dock. I think spring is officially here. (Yep, I said it. Winter be gone!) I wrote a story on local fisherman Tony Allbright for the Ozark County Times this week and am working on a Living Well column for next week. Besides that, I've just been doing some cleaning and ordering and pricing and stocking at the dock. The latest on Baby Wade? 13 weeks now. About 3 inches and almost a full ounce. One source compared it to a medium-sized shrimp; another a jumbo shrimp. I think it's probably more of the jumbo variety. I'm starving all the time! But, haven't had a lick of sickness, so I can't complain. We sold our Xterra and got a Chevy Traverse. It's a mid-size SUV - not too big, but definitely roomier than the Nissan. And it gets way better gas mileage. I haven't driven it much, b/c I only have about a 1/2 mile between home and work, so I'm excited to take it on its first road trip! More soon...

When life gives you limes...
...make margaritas? Sounds good to me. Just hold the tequila, please.
Sorry it's been so long since I've written. We've been a bit preoccupied. I think the word is out to most everyone now that we are expecting a little Wade in September! I'm 12 weeks, and apparently the little tyke is the size of a lime (a little over 2 inches and 1/2 an ounce). An appropriately colored fruit for St. Patrick's Day, don't ya think? :)
We just had our second doctor's appointment last Friday and were able to hear the heartbeat. The sound surprised me so much that I started to laugh... and laugh and laugh and laugh. It wasn't funny, and it didn't tickle, but I just couldn't stop laughing! Of course, my laughter and movements kept interfering with the instrument, so finally the doc gave up and said, "Everything looks good! See you in a month." We didn't find out the heart rate, and I'm really curious what it was. Next time I will think only serious thoughts and be sure not to laugh. Wish me luck. :)

Spring Pretties
Today we say good riddance to February, and tomorrow we say HELLO to March! Even though it isn't exactly flip-flop weather here in southern MO, there is still something about it just being March that makes it feel like spring is here! On that note, I am absolutely loving the new spring styles... feminine, flirty tops... ruffles... gladiator sandals... embellished knit tees... bright colors and also bright whites...leggings... fun and flirty scarves... big, bold jewelry (especially necklaces)... and the list goes on and on. Sigh. :)
Cute shoes? Or, not...
I can't decide if these shoes are cute... or, just plain weird. I tried on a pair at a department store the other day - they were really comfortable! But, I can't decide if I like them. Would I wear them with shorts? A skirt or dress? Jeans? Anybody have an opinion? (By the way, the ones I tried on and liked were grey, not black.)
